Police are investigating a breaking in incident into a jewelry shop based in Waimanu Road.

The thieves broke into the shop after gaining access from the roof of the adjacent curry shop.

They made a small hole in the wall of the curry shop and entered the jewelry shop.

The owner of the shop refused to make any comments when Fijivillage went to the scene this afternoon.

Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the incident occurred last night.

Sokomuri said investigations continue into the break-in however he said they will not be able to reveal what was taken.

Meanwhile, charges are expected to be laid against the five suspects tonight who have been arrested in relation to the murder of 49-year-old security officer of Savusavu, Sheik Mohammad Hassan last Sunday.
