Jewellery retailers are keeping their fingers crossed that they would not have to increase prices of gold products as they brace for a huge increase in the cost of gold imports.
Fiji Retailers Association president Himmat Lodhia told Fijivillage that the price of gold has increased significantly over the last 30 days.
However, Lodhia said consumers should not see an immediate increase during the festive season shopping.
