Jarryd Hayne is set to try his hand at another sport, being lined up to play in a football match against his favourite club Liverpool.
Organisers of a match between the Liverpool Legends and Australian Legends in Sydney on January 7 are eager to have Hayne involved.
The former rugby league star is still trying to establish himself in the tough NFL scene in the United States with the San Francisco Giants.
He's been relegated to the famous club's practice squad and is anxious for a first team recall. But he's just as eager to get involved in the Liverpool fixture that will come hot on the completion of the 49ers’ season.
