The Japanese Government is hopeful that Fiji will return to democratic rule as soon as possible, however it will continue funding projects to improve the lives of the ordinary Fijians.

The Japanese Ambassador to Fiji Yutaka Yoshi-zawa while speaking at a function yesterday reaffirmed Japan's commitment to Fiji saying there are many other projects in pipeline mostly in rural areas which they hope to support.

In one of their latest rural community projects, the Japanese Government provided Nakaikogo Sanatan Dharam School in Nausori with $65,518 for the construction of a two classroom building that has eased the classroom shortage problem.
