The Japanese Government is ready to assist Fiji in improving the water supply and road facilities however, no formal proposals have been given by the ministries concerned.
Japanese Ambassador Masashi Nimekawa told Fijivillage that there were some talks however, nothing eventuated.
Works ministry is expected to comment later today.
