Two men who robbed Superfoods Supermarket Nabua three years ago were sentenced to two and two and half years by the Suva High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar this morning.

Asaeli Koroi who was employed as a security officer met and planned with Eroni Dalituicama to steal from Superfoods Supermarket and on 10th October the two executed their plan.

Koroi hid Dalituicama and another accomplice inside the building before the supermarket closed.

Dalituicama and his accomplice who were inside the supermarket stole $20,000 cash from the safe, liquor and cigarette worth $724.

Four other accomplices who were waiting outside the supermarket threatened the security officer on duty with a cane knife and fled in a getaway vehicle.

Both pleaded guilty to the charges of robbery with violence.

Judge Justice Daniel Goundar sentenced Koroi to 2 years imprisonment while Dalituicama was sentenced to 2 and half years.
