The Junior All Blacks have won the 2009 IRB Pacific Nations Cup competition despite the final round of matches left to be completed this week.

The New Zealand side is at the top of the points standings with 14 points and plays Tonga in their final match on Thursday at the TFL National Stadium.

Even if they lose against Tonga, they still win the competition.

Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians must beat Japan on Friday to claim the second spot. After a 19-14 win over Samoa on Saturday, Fiji lies in third place with 9 points while the significantly improved Japanese team can achieve their best-ever finish in the history of the tournament with third place still within their reach.

Samoa, who has finished all their games is in second place with 12 points and Tonga is at the bottom of the table with 1 point.

The final round of matches will see the Junior All Blacks take on Tonga on Thursday and Fiji will meet Japan on Friday. Both games will kickoff at 3:10pm on respective days at the TFL National Stadium.
