Junior All Blacks coach Ian Foster holds high respect for the way the Flying Fijian 15's rugby forwards played against them despite their 45-17 lost yesterday.
The Chiefs mentor was surprised with the performance of the Fiji team especially in the scrum where they held their own against some of the best players in the Super 14 competition.
Foster believes that Coach Ilivasi Tabua has now set a platform in preparing for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
For Fiji coach Ilivasi Tabua said the plan to use most of the new players against the Kiwis was to get them used in playing at top level rugby.
Fiji will now prepare to take on Samoa next Saturday at Churchill Park.
