It is a chance for everyone to get a taste of the real Fiji friendliness.
That is the sentiment of Miss Fiji contestant for the 2009 Miss South Pacific which is currently underway for the next two weeks at Albert Park.
Miss Fiji, Merewalesi Nailatikau said that with thousands of visitors expected in Suva to come and support the various contestants, this is a very important time for everyone.
Nailatikau adds that this is also a time to for cultural exchange.
The 2009 Miss South Pacific Pageant will be focusing on how Pacific Countries can work together to preserve culture and also look at preserving our environment.
