It’s time to bite the bullet and make the hard decisions for the future of our sugar industry and the thousands who depend on it.

These are the words of Fiji Sugar Corporation Acting CEO John Prasad following his recommendation to government to shut down the Rarawai Sugar mill in Ba as it is not viable to keep it in operation.

Prasad said in the weeks and months ahead, tough decisions will have to be made and all stakeholders need to think things through rather than oppose every step which will be taken.
