Its time to find best way forward-Interim Pm
Commodore Frank Bainimarama, who was appointed as the co-chair of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji by President Ratu Josefa Iloilo today, said it is now time to find the best way forward for Fiji.
Commodore Bainimarama also said that we should all take heed of the words of the Archbishop Petero Mataca who was appointed as the co-chair to be representing the civil society in the National Council.
He said the Archbishop's comments that the People's Charter is like the People's Covenant just sums up what the interim administration is trying to achieve.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama also said that he is delighted that the People's Charter was launched today by the President.
He said that today is the beginning of a new era for Fiji as the citizens of the country should work together and overcome all the obstacles that we have faced since 1987.
The Interim Prime Minister said as the co-chair of the National Council of Building a Better Fiji, he will also ensure that there is room for negotiations with those who are currently opposing the proposed People's Charter.
He also said that he first thought twice when approached by President Iloilo to take up the co-chair for the National Council of Building a Better Fiji but he assures the people that his decision to make a difference is genuine.
