Vodafone Flying Fijians have more than one reason to beat Tonga in the Pacific Nations Cup this afternoon.

Fiji 15's Head Coach John McKee while speaking to Fijivillage from Tonga this morning says a win will see Fiji qualify as Oceania Number One team for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

McKee says today is more than just about qualifying for the Rugby World Cup as they want to ensure that they remain as the top Pacific team.

He says PNC is special and they do not want to lose this title.

A capacity crowd will witness the PNC match between Fiji and Tonga at the Teufaiva Sport Stadium today and McKee says his players are ready for the challenge.

The top two teams in the 2016 and 2017 Pacific Nations Cup will qualify for 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan with the team finishing third scheduled to enter the repechage for qualification.

At the moment Fiji is leading the PNC points table with 8 points after defeating Tonga and Samoa in the competition last year.

If Fiji tops the PNC, then it will go into the pool with Australia, Wales and Georgia.

Fiji will take on Tonga at 2pm today.
