Internet service provider Connect maintains it is business as usual for them.
CEO Sharon Smith Jones said there is no disruption to the internet and the government has not approached them to close down.
This is in reaction to a number of calls received by the internet service provider asking whether the Military had approached them to shut down the internet.
On slow internet connections experienced by some users, Jones said this was due to a technical fault which has now been repaired with all services running smoothly.
