Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said it’s now a wait and see situation on how the governments of Australia and New Zealand will react to Fiji's decision to expel the High Commissioners of the two countries.

Commodore Bainimarama said the decision to expel the High Commissioners was not made lightly and he is now awaiting feedback from Australia and New Zealand.

Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama maintains that it is unfortunate that the High Commissioners of NZ and Australia did not engage with the Fiji government to try to give the true picture on what's happening in Fiji.
