It is time for the Chiefs of Fiji to step up and fulfill their traditional and cultural obligations in assisting to appoint a Vice President.

Those are the words of the Chairman of the Great Council Chiefs Taskforce Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo as he leads his team to inform the various Provincial Councils in the Western Division this week on the criteria set for members of the GCC.

Ratu Nawalowalo said despite the stand taken against the interim government by certain provinces, the Chiefs must understand the need for Fiji to have a Vice President to assist the President Ratu Josefa Iloilo.
