It’s time to act said President of the Suva Grammar School Parents Teachers Association committee Commander Viliame Naupoto following several comments about the low academic performance at Grammar.
Naupoto said the Parents Teachers Association has been having discussions with the Education Ministry Task team reviewing the marks dropping in a number of schools and is actively taking steps to lift the academic performance at Suva Grammar.
He said the Grammar Ex-Students Association and other concerned stakeholders should now understand that everyone knows about the problem and what is needed now is a solution.
Naupoto also raised concern that a number of parents at Suva Grammar are not playing their part which is now resulting in the PTA thinking of even paying the parents to attend their children's parents and teachers’ interviews.
Naupoto said the Education Ministry, parents and the Ex-Students Association should act now as more damage is now being done by just talking about the problems.
