With a lot of emphasis being placed on disaster preparedness, Refrigeration Electrical Services Limited one of the 135 booths at the Fiji Showcase 2010, has brought in items for emergencies.
Marketing manager, Vinesh Lal said that they have appliances like rechargeable batteries and lamps which families have been stocking up on.
He stressed that this is an ideal time for family members to take advantage of, as many sales can be expected at their booth.
In another of their booths, the Mechanical Services Limited Booth, Lal said that they have decided to offer free advice regarding electrical appliances to the public.
Lal said that many people during this hot period tend to buy the cheapest air-conditioning unit they can get hold off without realising what they are buying and this is why they are handing out advice.
Gates to the Fiji Showcase 2010 will remain open until 10 o'clock tonight.
Entertainment on offer at the Digicel entertainment stage inside is Cookies Crazy comedy show at 4pm while the outside stage will have the USA break dancers at 5.45pm.
