It will be up to Alifereti Dere whether he needs assistance for the World Cup 7s tournament in Moscow this June.
This was revealed to Fijivillage by Fiji rugby union High Performance Unit General Manager Mike Ryan.
Dere was assisted in Hong Kong 7's by former national reps and coaches Waisale Serevi and Tomasi Cama Senior.
Fijivillage asked Ryan if Serevi and Cama's assistance will be needed later.
Tomasi Cama senior has declared his availability if he is needed for further assistance.
Meanwhile, Fiji will play all it's three pool matches of the Japan 7s on Saturday.
First up is South Africa at 1.44pm before meeting Spain at 5.51pm and Portugal at 9.19pm.
The Cup quarters start at 1.28pm Sunday, Cup semis at 5.08pm and the Cup final is at 7.33pm Sunday.
