Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has stressed that it was not his decision to become Prime Minister to head the current government as the decision was made by the Military Council.
Speaking on the ABC's Foreign Correspondence program with Philipa McDonald, Commodore Bainimarama reiterated that what needs to be understood is that the military is the only entity to bring about the reforms as politicians cannot bring about the reforms for obvious reasons.
Bainimarama stressed that the reforms will take time to implement.
