Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has stressed that he did not conduct a military coup in December 2006.
In an interview with Radio Australia, Bainimarama said people need to understand what is happening in Fiji and the military is protecting the people of the country.
Bainimarama also said Fiji will return to democratic rule but he will not give any timetable.
