Yet another ugly rumour was circulating on social media about TFL and their Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Queen.
Many people just believed it as a fact, shared the information and made public comments attacking the company.
Fijivillage approached TFL and Miss Hibiscus Candace Veramu today on whether they will take action against the individuals concerned as it defamed TFL and Miss Hibiscus.
TFL’s Group Chief Executive Officer Mothilal De Silva says the company was fully behind Veramu and people should not believe all the misinformation put up on social media.
Miss Hibiscus Candace Veramu says the misinformation is unfortunate.
She says she will forgive everyone who misled people on facebook about her and her sponsor.
Veramu is now preparing for the Miss Fiji pageant to be held later this year.
Meanwhile TFL today held a special celebration for Veramu.
Veramu received a laptop with a year supply of free internet for her personal use.
She expressed her gratitude and said that she is not used to receiving gifts but more used to giving.
Veramu says TFL has done so much for her and she is so proud of them.
She is still deciding on a project and intends to focus on making health and fitness a family activity.
Veramu is now preparing for the Miss Fiji pageant to be held in October this year.
