Police have today confirmed that the former Commanding Officer of 3FIR Unit Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara had planned his escape to Tonga.
Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said they are interviewing certain individuals has resulted in the confirmation that the trip to Tonga was not a sea rescue but a planned and deliberate one.
He added that right now Police are focusing on establishing who Ratu Tevita’s accomplices are.
