Fiji Rugby Union High Performance Unit General Manager John Mackee said it is important to develop our players to reach a high standard so that they can perform well at the international level.
Since taking over the reigns as HPU General Manager Mackee said the main focus will be on the long term development of players over a period of time.
Mackee added that the answer to all of these issues is to try and establish rugby academies around the country.
Mackee has asked rugby fans around the country to be patient as changes will not happen overnight.
