All Blacks 7s player Sonny Bill Williams said it is always a big challenge when they take on the Vodafone Fiji 7s team.
Speaking to Fijivillage in a press conference in Singapore, SBW says Fiji has some of the greatest 7s players in the world and they were really tested in last week’s Hong Kong 7s final.
Sonny Bill Williams also says that he is working really hard to make the NZ team for the Rio Olympics.
Liam Messam will captain the All Blacks 7s team for the Singapore 7s this weekend.
Messam has been given the captaincy role with Scott Curry, Tim Mikkelson, Sam Dickson and DJ Forbes all unavailable.
He first captained the New Zealand 7s side in 2004 at the age of 20.
Debutant Isaac Te Aute, Dylan Collier, Antonio Kiri Kiri, Josh Van Lieshout and Teddy Stanaway have been included in the New Zealand team for this weekend.
NZ is pooled with USA, France and Canada.
