“It doesn’t matter in the new Fiji we are building, who you are or where you come from.”
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama made this comment during the Graduation of Sustainable Livelihood Program in Kiuva, Bau.
Bainimarama said that they are taking even the most disadvantaged child in this journey forward as a nation.
He said that they are also taking the disabled, the elderly, the sick, the bereaved and the lonely.
Bainimarama added that this is a new beginning for people who are graduating from the program and hopes that it will be a lifetime learning for them all.
The week long course was on carpentry, caring for the elderly, cooking, tailoring, plumbing, screen printing and front office management.
More than 7,000 Fijians have completed the training from all 14 provinces since 2012.
