If there are complaints against any taxi, it is not our fault as the taxis on the roads have been passed by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
This is the comment from the Fiji Taxi Union president Rishi Ram after complaints from members of the public about the conditions of some of the taxis.
Ram also added they will relook at their fleets only once their grievance for a fare increase has been heard by the interim government.
However, the chief executive officer for the LTA, Etuate Koroi, said that the responsibility lies with the taxi owners themselves and added that the Authority cannot keep running after these cars.
