The issuing of passports by the Department of Immigration on Saturday and Sundays will cease with immediate effect from all its offices.
The Director of Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa said the difficulties experienced earlier that necessitated the weekend collection time has normalized.
Vuniwaqa also said that effective from Monday 20th April, all passport requests will take seven working days to complete compared to the 10 working days currently being exercised.
