The Transnational Crime Unit and the Immigration Department have managed to establish that the Irish national who is in police custody for allegedly filming pornographic movies in Fiji, is living in the country illegally.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed the man is still under interrogation at the Central Police Station, and charges may be laid this afternoon.
He has also revealed that some drugs were also confiscated from the Irish national.
According to Sokomuri, three locals who have been allegedly involved in the movie are a 31 year old woman and two men aged 27 and 25 years old.
Police said the locals will be taken in for questioning.
