The Irish national who is alleged to been involved in the filming of pornographic movies in Fiji appeared in the Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with being in possession of illicit drugs.
Patrick Hughes appeared before Magistrate Josaia Waqavolavola on the charge of being in possession of illicit drugs which was confiscated along with some pornographic material earlier this week.
Magistrate Waqavolavola released Hughes on $200 bail with strict bail conditions.
The case will be called again on the 14th of this month.
Meanwhile, the Transnational Crime Unit and the Immigration Department revealed earlier that Hughes is alleged to be living in the country illegally.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri also confirmed that three locals who have been allegedly involved in the pornographic movie are a 31 year old woman and two men aged 27 and 25 years old.
Police said the locals will be taken in for questioning.
