A series of high powered talks get underway in Suva from tomorrow as some investors have shown keen interest to try and help revive Air Fiji Limited

Tuvalu Transport Minister Taukelina Finakaso who is currently in the country confirmed that he will be meeting with these investors along with officials from the Fiji government based on decision reached at the Air Fiji Board of Directors meeting in China last week.

Finakaso said they hope to come up with something concrete with the investors and said they are working flat out to seal a deal as over 160 staff of Air Fiji remain without work and pay since late April.

He is optimistic that a ways in which the airline company can be revived will be mapped out before he returns to Tuvalu.

All of Air Fiji's aircraft remain grounded, its offices closed off and phone lines disconnected since late April and the workers have not been paid outstanding wages since May 1st.
