A lot of investors have shown keen interest in building resorts and hotels in Savusavu.
This has been confirmed by the President of Savusavu Tourism Association, Justin Hunter.
Hunter says some multi-million dollar projects are on hold due to a number of reasons.
He added that the investors are concerned about transportation and other issues which need to be looked addressed soon.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama announced on Wednesday that government will introduce the VAT refund scheme in Savusavu from 1st January next year.
The association has welcomed this decision saying that this will boost tourism numbers in Savusavu.
