Assistant Police Commissioner Crime, Nasir Ali has been assigned special duties pending investigations against him.
Police Commissioner, Commodore Esala Teleni told Village News this morning that a special team has been assigned to investigate Ali after further allegations were leveled against him.
When questioned by Village News about the progress of the investigations, Teleni remained tightlipped saying that its an internal matter and he has made enough public statements.
However, he did reveal that Ali is still a police officer.
It is also alleged that officers of the police strike back team also lodged complaints against Nasir Ali saying that he sent them on leave for not following some orders.
Several attempts to get a comment from Ali proved futile.
