An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of a fire which partly damaged the Fiji Law Society office in Gordon street, Suva early this morning.

The National Fire Authority said they received a call around 2am and when the fire fighters arrived at the scene a few minutes later, they found the office area of the Fiji Law Society on fire.

Fire fighters managed to contain the fire within the office and stop it from spreading and destroying adjacent offices which was a law firm, a hair salon and Tadra flowers office.

NFA is once again calling on business houses to have their building connected to NFA's Private Fire Alarm monitoring system for early detection of fires.
