Investigations against Assistant Police Commissioner Crime Nasir Ali have been completed and the file has been handed to the Deputy Police Commissioner for an assessment.
Deputy Police Commissioner Eroni Antonio has confirmed receiving the file saying that he will be seeking some clarifications from the investigators in relation to certain aspects of the investigations.
It is expected that a decision will be made later this week.
Meanwhile, Ali has been given another official vehicle by the Commissioner of Police Esala Teleni.
Ali's vehicle was taken from him by the Deputy Commissioner following some complaints lodged against him.
He is under investigation in relation to alleged insubordination, detaining a police officer in the charge room of Central Police station and allegations that he sent some officers of the Mobile Unit on leave after they failed to follow his orders.
