The details of investigations conducted against the Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry for allegedly evading taxes over a number of years may never be revealed.

Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Chief Executive Officer Jitoko Tikolevu remains silent on the several allegations against Chaudhry raised by former Former FIRCA Auditors Lepani Rabo and Joseva Leano who were allegedly removed from office after they started intensive investigations against Chaudhry.

Village put several questions to Tikolevu relating to the allegations, the investigations conducted into the matter and the termination of several Senior Staff of FIRCA who were dealing with the case.

Tikolevu said the investigations are and will remain confidential and will never be made public.
