Police have now started investigation into the drowning incident of a six year old on Wednesday.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the post mortem conducted on the six year old girl revealed that she died of drowning however investigations have started in relation to the bruises found on the victim’s body.
The six year old drowned in a river in Macuata who was swimming in the river with other children when she was discovered missing.
Meanwhile, the drowning toll for this year now stands at 15 compared to 21 during the same period last year.
