The interviews for those who have shown their interest in taking up the Chief Executive Officer's post at the Fiji Rugby Union will start today.

Fijivillage Sports has received confirmation that the FRU board will conduct their first round of interviews today at Rugby House.

FRU Chairman, Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga confirmed that they had received 24 applications for the post, eight of which are from overseas.

The FRU had earlier made a decision that the new CEO will be announced in January.

Meanwhile, a total of 22 applications were received for the Fiji 7s team manager's post.

The manager will be tasked to travel with the team to the first leg of the IRB 7's series in Gold Coast, Australia.
