Round one of the Federation of International Hockey league is starting this hour at the National Hockey centre in Laucala Bay with Australian taking on New Zealand Maori in the women’s division.
Other games today will see the New Zealand Maori’s mens team and Fiji President’s team clash at 3pm while the last game will see Papua New Guinea against Samoa at 5pm in the women's division.
The winner of this tournament will play in the second league round in India in February which has top teams in world hockey.
