Peace never goes out of fashion because even when there is no war the world is not at peace.
This is the message by Citizens Constitutional Forum CEO Reverend Akuila Yabaki to those present at the International Peace Day celebrations in Suva this morning.
Yabaki said this year’s theme “One Nation, Diverse People” also rings loud in the meaning of the word peace, as there are many different meanings.
International Peace Day was first commemorated in 1981, where it was decided that the annual celebrations will be held on the third Tuesday of September.
