People with disabilities are just as capable of performing well in a work environment like everyone else.
Today is International Disabilities Day and Vice President Operations of the Fiji Disabled People's Association, Akuila Rewatabua said this is the message that they will be trying to portray today during a workshop to celebrate today.
The workshop is based on Decent Employment and Rewatabua adds that people with disabilities do not deserve to be treated any different than others.
The workshop which started at 9.30 this morning to end at 1, was opened by the Executive Director for the Fiji National Council for Disabled Persons, Dr Sitiveni Yanuyanutawa at the Qarase House in Brown St.
The workshop will see people from the International Labour Organization and the Ministry of Labour giving their views and ideas.
