Police are still conducting internal investigations in relation to the break-in at the Criminal Investigations Department headquarters two weeks ago.
Spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they can only confirm that an exhibit was stolen and investigations continue.
She said nothing more can be said.
Police Director Operations Rusiate Tudravu has also refused to comment on reports that the item stolen from the CID headquarters was cocaine.
He said they cannot say anything at this stage as investigations are still underway.
