Those living in the interior of the Western Division have been the hardest hit, with devastation clearly visible in most villages with crops damaged, people without emergency supplies and having no word on when further rations will be given to the affected areas.

Residents in Kumkum, Ba, do not know what the future holds for them as their main source of income, the root crops, farms and homes have been destroyed.
Narayan said that he has spoken to two residents who said that they are now running out of the food that they have stored.
