A new criteria has been set by the interim government to only allow chiefs that have been traditionally installed by their respective "Vanua", to be members of the new look Great Council of Chiefs.

Speaking to Fijivillage News, newly appointed GCC Review Team Chairman Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo has made it clear, the interim government has made changes to their earlier submission, that only those who have chiefly status to be members of the GCC.

Nawalowalo said with these changes, the GCC will have a lot of blessing with them, as the members are traditionally recognized by their Vanua who have installed them to be their Chiefs.
