The Interim Government is fully committed to assisting the higher education of the Fiji people.
In a statement released, the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama said the Interim Government's commitment is evident in the increased 2008 Budget allocations for the Fijian Affairs and Multi Ethnic Affairs Scholarship Funds.
Bainimarama has urged the students to work hard and achieve their goals so that there is a win win situation for all, the interim government, the parents and the students.
The Fijian Affairs Scholarship fund increased from $8.3 million in 2007 to $8.5 million this year while the Multi Ethnic Affairs Scholarship fund increased from $4.25 million to $5.5 million this year.
