Another Cane Farmers organization has applauded the interim government's decision to restructure and reform the Sugar Industry.

The General Secretary of the Fiji Kisan Sangh Kallu Dhani Ram said the reform was long overdue and the decision to dissolve certain bodies in the sugar industry has been welcome news for farmers.

He said a lot of money has been wasted on these organizations at the expense of cane farmers and with these organizations being dissolved, farmers will save a lot of money.

The interim government has decided to dissolve the Sugar Commission of Fiji and the Fiji Sugar Marketing Authority and their operations will be diverted to the Fiji Sugar Corporation, Sugar Industry Tribunal and the Sugar Cane Growers Council.
