Interim Transport Minister, Manu Korovulavula is yet to be officially informed about the looming strike of the Public Employees Union this Thursday.

The PWD workers are members of the Union. Korovulavula said the permanent secretary for works is yet to brief him on the strike.

Meanwhile, a senior official of the divisional Engineer Roads, Narendra Rama said maintenance work on roads and bridges is on schedule and they believe the interim cabinet will make final decision by tomorrow on the strike.

He added that they will still have a day to re-schedule their plans.

The workers want to take strike action this Thursday.

Public Employees Union, general secretary, Pita Delana is expected to comment later.
