The Indian High Commissioner to Fiji said Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama's visit to India is a private visit.
Speaking to Village News at a function last night Professor Pravhakar Jha confirmed that Commodore Bainimarama's visit is not arranged or paid for by the Indian Government.
Bainimarama returns from India on Friday and it was earlier revealed that the purpose of his visit is to tour the hospitals in India which provide medical treatment for members of the RFMF under the Military's Medical Scheme.
He also met with certain dignitaries and is holding discussions with various business people.
