Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama will make an official visit to the North today for two days where he will visit the Agriculture and rural developments in the division.

Commodore Bainimarama said the Government's intentions for Vanua Levu are clear which really are to raise the level of investment and economic production, generate increased employment opportunities, increase the value and volume of trade and increase the involvement of Vanua Levu's population in economic activities.

With the range of other incentives for Vanua Levu, the Interim Government intends to upgrade infrastructure facilities for the Northern Division.

Meanwhile through the Government's Look North Policy, the interim government's aim is to encourage more people to enter into businesses and contribute positively to the economy.

This is Bainimarama's 5th trip to the North since taking up the role of Interim Prime Minister.
