Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama will attend the African, Caribbean and Pacific Ministers of Finance and Economic Affairs meeting in Brussels Belgium from November 10th to the 13th.

Bainimarama will attend the meeting in his capacity as Acting Minister for Finance and National Planning.

Bainimarama said he is looking forward to the meeting as it will open Fiji to opportunities for dialogue and engagement with other leaders from the ACP region.

Bainimarama adds that this is an opportunity for him as Prime Minister and Minister for Finance to discuss with ACP leaders on the matters of interest regarding the Global Financial crisis, and look at how the ACP countries are coping.

The ACP Ministerial meeting will be preceded by a two-day meeting of senior officials responsible for Finance and Economic Affairs.

Interim Minister for Defence, National Security Ratu Epeli Ganilau will be Acting Prime Minister while Bainimarama is away.
