Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama stresses that ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase should understand that the interim government will complete the work set out by the President before deciding on the next elections.
In an exclusive interview with Village News, Commodore Bainimarama
has also revealed that FICAC is currently investigating Qarase in relation to certain allegations levelled against him and everyone should allow this process to be completed.
He also stresses that necessary changes will be made to the electoral systems before any decision is made on the elections.
Commodore Bainimarama has also said that the country needs true democracy and that will take time.
